Summary: GPIT designed and built the complete network infrastructure and server room for an FDI factory in the medical & dental equipment sector at VSIP II-A Industrial Park, Binh Duong – delivered on schedule with a 12-month warranty.
Background & challenge
The investor was building a new factory and needed a coherent IT infrastructure, built to engineering standards and delivering high availability for production operations. The requirements were:
- Data network, WiFi, CCTV and fingerprint time-attendance covering the entire factory.
- A server room built to standard: backup power, precision cooling, clean-agent fire suppression, lightning protection, environmental monitoring.
- A single point of responsibility from design through acceptance testing, rather than splitting the work across multiple contractors.
GPIT’s solution
- Network infrastructure: installation of the structured copper cabling and fibre backbone, cable tray system, and the server-room network; separation of data, WiFi, CCTV and time-attendance traffic.
- Server room: raised access floor, electrical panels, network and power cable trays, FM200 automatic fire suppression, lightning protection, precision air conditioning, environmental monitoring, and a UPS system.
- Equipment supply: procurement and installation of matched equipment per the design, with full documentation and manufacturer warranty.
Results
- The project was handed over on schedule, with acceptance-test records and as-built documentation.
- The server room runs reliably with full layers of protection – power, cooling, fire suppression and monitoring.
- A 12-month warranty on the whole project; the client has continued to work with GPIT on subsequent phases.
