1. Purpose and scope of collection

To access and use some services at gpit.vn, you may be asked to register personal information with us (email, full name, contact phone number, etc.). All information provided must be accurate and lawful. GPIT accepts no legal responsibility for the information you declare.

We may also collect information about the number of your visits, including the pages you view, the links you click and other information related to your connection to the gpit.vn site. We also collect the information sent by the web browser you use each time you access gpit.vn, including: IP address, browser type, language, time, and the addresses your browser accesses.

2. Scope of information use

GPIT collects and uses your personal information for appropriate purposes and in full compliance with this “Privacy Policy”. When necessary, we may use this information to contact you directly in forms such as: introductory letters, order confirmations, thank-you letters, SMS, and technical and security information.

3. Information retention period

A member’s personal data will be stored until there is a request to delete it or the member logs in and deletes it themselves. Otherwise, in all cases the member’s personal information will be kept secure on GPIT’s servers.

5. Means and tools for users to access and edit their personal data

The website does not yet have a personal-information management page for members, so accessing and editing personal data is handled on customer request in the following ways:

  • Call the customer care hotline +84 945 886 818; staff will verify your personal information and make the edits on your behalf.
  • Leave a comment or send feedback directly from the gpit.vn website; an administrator will check the information and review whether the comment is consistent with the law and GPIT’s policies.

6. Commitment to protecting customers’ personal information

Members’ personal information on gpit.vn is committed to being kept strictly confidential under GPIT’s personal-information protection policy. The collection and use of each member’s information is carried out only with that customer’s consent, except where the law provides otherwise.

We do not use, transfer, provide or disclose members’ personal information to any third party without the member’s consent.

If the server storing the information is attacked by hackers, resulting in the loss of members’ personal data, GPIT will be responsible for reporting the incident to the authorities for timely investigation and handling, and for notifying members.

We keep strictly confidential all of a member’s online transaction information, including accounting invoices and digitised documents, in GPIT’s level-1 secure data centre area.

The card payment system is provided by licensed payment-gateway partners operating legally in Vietnam. Accordingly, the card payment security standards at gpit.vn comply with industry security standards.

GPIT management requires individuals who register / purchase as members to provide complete relevant personal information such as: full name, contact address, email, ID number, phone, account number, payment card number, etc., and to be responsible for the legality of that information. GPIT management is not responsible for and will not resolve any complaint related to a member’s rights if it finds that all of the personal information that member provided at initial registration is inaccurate.

7. Security provisions

The policy for transactions paid by international and domestic cards (internet banking) complies with the security standards of the payment-gateway partners, including:

The customer’s financial information is protected throughout the transaction by the 256-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol.

A one-time password (OTP) is sent by SMS to ensure account access is authenticated.

The principles and regulations for information security in the banking and finance sector under the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam.

GPIT’s payment transaction security policy applies to customers as follows:

  • Customer payment card information that could be used to set up a transaction is NOT stored on GPIT’s systems. The payment-gateway partner stores and secures it to the international PCI DSS standard.
  • For domestic cards (internet banking), gpit.vn stores only the order code, transaction code and bank name. GPIT commits to seriously applying the necessary security measures for all payment activity carried out on gpit.vn.

8. How to request data deletion?

You can send a data deletion request by email to our support centre: info@gpit.vn. Please provide as much information as possible about which data you want deleted. The request will be forwarded to the appropriate team for review and processing. We will contact you at each step to update you on the deletion progress.
